Looking back...

Not literally, its what we humans tend to do, when we are perturbed and kind of lost. The thought of bygone days and years, always manages to earn a smile from us. People keep telling you, never look back, but in fact its the greatest gift we humans have got. All the pristine moments in our lives are safely tucked away in memory, not coz its a job of the brain, but for the strength we derive from them. If u cant remember the y'day, then our today would not be fine. It is always the thoughts of yesterday which drives us to move forward. The famous saying "Failures are the stepping stones to Success" would stand no ground if we do not have the ability to look back. The memories of people who have contributed so much to us and on whose ability we all stand today would be lost entirely if we never look back and respect them at all. If nation of ours has had the most vibrant and hectic history of all the countries in the world. No other country can boast of such a confluence of minds and thoughts, people and perseverance, war and peace. From time immemorial we have been invaded, routed, looted and sold, that we have today developed a kind of immunity to the sudden changes in the system, society and culture. The Aryans, who are believed to have come from Central Asia, came and stayed and disappeared or did they? Well that is a topic which we would take up in a alter discussion. Then the Mongols came and tried their luck, but in vain. Then came the invasion of several islamic cultures, which today is the strength of India. Finally came the British to rule here for a long time. All these cultures came and left, but they also left back a lot for India to consume. Their culture, traditions, policies, political system and lot more. In spite of all these we have always been able to maintain our old traditions alive and the true reason we have been able to do that is that we look back and keep reminding ourselves of our past and the traditions which have been handed over to us over several ages. Well then looking back is not so bad huh.....that's my feeling about the philosophical sycophancy of Not Looking Back.
